The Young Women's Leadership Symposium (YWLS) developed in 2009 because of our passion to assist with leading and preparing our young women for the future. It was our vision to plan and implement a Saturday-morning event that would provide a learning opportunity for young female students from various backgrounds, ethinicities and socio-economic communities. With the assistance of dedicated volunteers, the inaugural event was designed to provide young women an opportunity to meet, hear from, and spend valuable time with corporate professionals and organizational leaders.
The excitement, importance and success of our Tampa events have spread...the word is out! As a result, the growth and reach of the YWLS has expanded nationally, reaching young women across the United States. It is our sincere hope that you will review all of the opportunities to participate and assist in a city near you. We will continue to enhance and expand this exciting and valuable educational opportunity for young women throughout the footprint of the National Diversity Council.
