Alicia Schwarzlose is the Assistant Director of Business Intelligence and Reporting in the Risk Management Services area of the Texas Association of Schools Boards (TASB). TASB administers the TASB Risk Management Fund providing property, liability, auto, workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation coverage to Texas public schools. In her role, Alicia oversees report and dashboard development for TASB staff, reporting to external parties including reinsurance partners and TASB Risk Management Fund members, as well as facilitating research projects which support the initiatives related to the implementation of the Fund’s strategic plan.

Alicia has worked in Risk Management Services with TASB for five years. Prior to TASB she was a research analyst with a crop insurance consulting firm and worked to develop crop insurance programs offered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Along with her professional pursuits, Alicia is a clarinetist and enjoys performing with community musicians in the Austin area. Alicia graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics, as well as a master’s degree in agricultural economics.

Shantera L. Chatman, MBA is an organizational engagement and adoption consultant with 20 years of experience (in both project and change management) spanning the Aerospace and Oil & Gas Industries. She has a reputation for building strong relationships with her clients and delivering quality results.

While working as a consultant for the Johnson Space Center, Shantera founded the Annual Women’s Empowerment Conference (AWEC) in 2008 which later became The Chatman Women's Foundation to provide scholarships and grants to women building businesses, going back to school or even getting out of shelters.

Shantera is a sought-after speaker who focuses on leadership, women's empowerment, diversity & inclusion, and people engagement. She currently serves as a member of the Houston Women and Minority Business Task Force and is the President of PowHer Consulting.
