Welcome to the Young Women’s Leadership Symposium (YWLS) website! Thank
you for your interest; it is our sincere hope that you will review all of the
opportunities to participate and assist in a city near you. We will continue
to enhance and expand this exciting and valuable educational opportunity
for young women throughout the footprint of the National Diversity Council.

It is a phenomenal opportunity to transform our community into a truly inclusive
environment where young women are encouraged to reach their full potential.

It is with great anticipation that our third annual event will be held in
Tampa, FL on February 26th. Because of our passion to assist with leading
and preparing our young women for the future, it was our vision in 2009 to
plan and implement a Saturday-morning event that would provide a learning
opportunity for young female students from various backgrounds, ethnicities
and socio-economic communities. With the assistance of dedicated volunteers,
the inaugural event was designed to provide young women an opportunity to
meet, hear from, and spend valuable time with corporate professionals and
organizational leaders.

The excitement, importance and success of our Tampa events have spread…the
word is out! As a result, the growth and reach of the YWLS expanded to Texas
where three (3) Symposiums were held last year, and more being planned this
year in cities such as Orlando, Dallas and Arlington, just to name a few. Our
national goal is to schedule at least twenty (20) events by 2012.
