What is the Young Women’s Leadership Symposium?
A phenomenal opportunity to transform our community into a truly inclusive environment where young women are encouraged to reach their full potential.
Who should attend?
The Young Women’s Leadership Symposium seeks to bring together female middle and high school students from their local area that have been nominated by school administrators or other special interest organizations.
Where are Symposiums being held and how do I get there?
Young Women’s Leadership Symposiums will be in taking place in major cities and regions in each of the fifty states very soon. You can check the YWLS homepage for upcoming locations and dates or join the listserv. Unfortunately, travel and accommodations are the sole responsibility of each student and their families.
Who are the event coaches/mentors?
Each of the young women will have the opportunity to interact, in a small group setting, with at least one mentor who is an executive from an elite organization in each respective city.
What other programs do you offer?
The Young Women’s Leadership Symposium is one program supported in part by the National Diversity Council, but there are many other youth programs that you can find at the Diversity Youth Programs website.
How might I get involved or host an event?
You can contact us here to help mentor, speak, or volunteer at a YWLS near you.
